DM Screen Connector 0.8.92
================================

This folder contains the unpacked Chrome connector installed for the current Windows user.

Installed folder:
Documents\DM Screen Connector

First installation
------------------
1. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome.
2. Turn on Developer mode.
3. Choose Load unpacked.
4. Select this DM Screen Connector folder.

Updating an existing installation
---------------------------------
If Chrome already loaded this exact folder, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click the circular-arrow Reload button on the DM Screen Connector card, confirm its version, then refresh any open D&D Beyond, Roll20, and DM Screen pages.
If Chrome loaded an older connector from another folder, remove that connector, choose Load unpacked, and select this folder.

Chrome always owns the final extension permission prompt. This installer does not grant browser permissions or access passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, payment details, unrelated tabs, or browsing history.

Encounter monster catalogue
---------------------------
When requested from the Encounter Builder, the connector reads only monster name, creature type, Challenge Rating, source label, and D&D Beyond page link from the monster browser. It merges the same limited metadata from the signed-in user's subscribed homebrew monster collection; full stat blocks remain on D&D Beyond.

The DM Screen compares a hash of the visible signed-in D&D Beyond account label with the account that supplied its saved catalogue. A positively identified account change clears prior D&D Beyond-derived characters, inventories, catalogues, encounter rosters, initiative imports, and builder history. An offline or unverifiable account does not trigger deletion.

Loremaster's Compass desktop bridge (limited test groups)
---------------------------------------------------------
The connector can carry dice text from the Loremaster's Compass desktop app to an open Roll20 chat over a local-only connection on this device. It checks only 127.0.0.1 ports 21356-21358, carries only the dice text you see, and polls only while a Roll20 chat box is on screen. The clipboard is never read or written. Roll20 performs every roll natively; the connector never evaluates or invents a result.

Do not enable the standalone "Loremaster's Compass - Roll20 Bridge" extension at the same time as this combined connector. Running both can post duplicate rolls and show duplicate banners.

The DM Screen connector and Loremaster's Compass bridge are independent, unofficial playtest tools. They are not affiliated with Google, Wizards of the Coast, D&D Beyond, Fandom, or Roll20.
